Criteria
Tesco has a clear selection criteria to ensure participating products & brands align to our core business purpose. Customer, Community & Plant.
Customer - We want to excite and delight our customers with innovative products that reflect emerging food trends and offer a point of difference. We prioritize great quality ingredients that align with Tesco's product trends.
Community - We support brands from under-represented backgrounds, including female founders, ethnic minorities, LGBTQ individuals, people with disabilities, and those from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. We seek products that reflect the communities we serve and values-driven brands that actively give back to the community.
Planet - We are looking for brands that are reducing their environmental impact across the full supply chain and supporting a healthier, more sustainable way of living.
General applications questions
When does the application process close? The application process will close on Sunday 21st March.
How do I know if my application was successfully submitted?
You will receive an automated email from RangeMe confirming receipt of your application. Please check your spam/junk folder as the email is sometimes caught there.
May I speak with a member of the Accelerator team to discuss my product?
Unfortunately not, we receive a high quantity of applications and it's not possible to discuss individual applications.
Does my product need to be retail-ready before I submit my application?
It is not a requirement for your product to be retail-ready before submitting, although it is preferred.
Is there a fee to apply?
New Applicants (without a RangeMe account): You can create a free RangeMe account and apply at no cost.
Existing Applicants (free subscription tier users): Applying to the Tesco Accelerator requires upgrading to a paid RangeMe subscription, which unlocks additional features, including access to the campaign.

Where do I send my samples?
If we require samples of your product you will receive an email request via RangeMe. Please do not send in samples without this request.
How long will it take to receive a response from Tesco regarding my application. What are the next steps?
"Due to the number of submissions we receive and the evaluation process, please allow ample time for review. You should expect to receive a response via the RangeMe platform during the week commencing 24th March. The response will indicate whether your submission is unsuccessful or will move to the next stage.
If your application is unsuccessful, it is likely because the category does not currently have a need state for that type of product. Due to the high volume of applications we receive, we are unable to provide detailed feedback on individual submissions."
Can I change my application after I submit it?
You are not able to edit any answers to survey questions. Updates to your RangeMe profile will be reflected after the survey submission is complete. We recommend ensuring your details are accurate and complete before submitting.
Can I save a partially completed survey to edit later?
If you exit your partially completed application, you will be able to edit your draft and complete your entry under the “My Submissions” tab of your submission page later. You will not be able to make any edits to your application once it has been submitted.
