The Product Overview is the first section that make up the RangeMe Product Upload Form. This form includes five fields that help buyers learn more about your product. These fields are also critical because they pull into RangeMe's SEO and impact how your brand and products are discovered in the buyer's dashboard.
You will find the following fields to fill in on this page:
- Product Name
- Category
- Approvals & Certifications
- Unique Selling Propositions
- Product Description
- Product Name
This field should include only the name of your product.
The product name should clearly inform the buyer of what your product is. Avoid product names that are too long, are just an SKU number, or are the URL of a website.
- Category
Buyers on RangeMe are matched with products based on the Categories they manage. When selecting Categories, be as accurate as possible so you appear in the right buyer searches.
Tip: when considering categories, think about where in a store you would find a product like yours.
Suppliers can add up to 2 Categories to their product listing. To find the Category that best fits your product:
- Type in a keyword to search the Categories
- Click the category that best fits your product
If you cannot find your Category through our search tool:
- Click on “Browse All Categories”
- Select one of the Categories from this list
- Select a Sub-category from the drop-down
- Add your selected Category
If a better category is found for your product, our internal Product Approvals team may automatically update your category.
- Approval and Certifications
This field allows you to choose any regulatory approvals and Certifications you have obtained for your product.
Examples: Certified Organic, TGA, Kosher, Women-Owned Business (WOB), WOSB, etc.
Listing any approvals or Certifications your product has received is a great way to promote your product to buyers searching for these Certifications.
To list an approval or Certification, you want to directly type the name onto the field and select it. You can also scroll through the selections. Each product listing can have more than one Certification and/or approval.
Note: A buyer will likely ask for proof of your claimed Approvals or Certifications. Be sure to have them ready.

- Unique Selling Propositions (USPs)
The Unique Selling Propositions (USPs) field allows you to list up to three key attributes that set your product apart from competitors. These attributes should be features that differentiate your product from others in its Category. Shorter USPs will help to improve your search results.
- Description
The description field allows suppliers to provide buyers with critical product details. We recommend keeping it short, focusing on the most relevant information about your product to help buyers decide whether it would be a good fit for their stores. Please keep in mind that there is a 200-character (not word) limit.
