Product Details
Product Image:
Your Product Image is the first thing a buyer sees when they view your product and is a major factor in whether they look further into it. Remember, first impressions are everything!
Pay close attention to the following image requirements. They were tailored to what buyers are most receptive to, based on buyer feedback.
Image Requirements:
- An actual photo of your product as it would appear on a retailer's shelf (This means in its retail packaging)
- A clear image on a solid white background
- The image should be clear, close up, centered, and take up at least 80% of the frame
- Must be one of the following file types: JPEG, PNG, and JPG
- Ideally 1000x1000 pixels with a maximum 2MB file size
Click "Add Image" to select an image saved to your computer. Then click the empty box that says "Upload an image" shown below:
To replace an existing image, click the red "X" on your existing product image, then click “Add Image”.
Variant SKU/Style Number:
The Variant SKU or Stock-Keeping Unit is the Manufacturer-Assigned ID Number. This number is used to track inventory or stock.
Product Pricing
Cost and MSRP are used to calculate Gross Margin, i.e. the return on a product for retail buyers.
Suggested Cost is loosely defined by our platform as the Per-Unit Cost of your product for retailers to purchase. Do not include any distribution or shipping costs here.
Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price(MSRP)/ Recommended Retailer Price (RRP)* is the price that the manufacturer or supplier suggests a retailer sells their product at. This price should reflect the estimated value of your product to consumers.
Product Per Case: The number of products in a case that will be shipped to distributors or retailers.
Case Price: Automatically calculated by multiplying the cost by the number of products per case.
Pricing Comments: This field allows you to enter any additional comments or clarifications. For example, you can use this field to discuss minimum order quantity, pricing flexibility, and other pricing considerations.
Product Barcode
Barcodes are among the most important factors buyers look for when reviewing your product. Having a barcode is a huge step to being considered "retail-ready". Keep in mind that barcodes are a requirement to become RangeMe Verified.
To add your barcode, make sure you select the correct barcode type.
Barcode Types:
UPC-12: Universal Product Code is a 12-digit barcode used mainly in the United States and assigned by GS1 US, an organization that sets standards for international commerce
EAN-13: European Article Numbers (also referred to as International Article Numbers) is a 13-digit barcode used worldwide
ISBN- or International Standard Book Number is a 13-digit numeric book identification
Please ensure you are selecting the correct barcode type when entering your barcode. The field will require the exact number of digits based on which barcode type you select. Do not enter any hyphens or spaces here.
Note: If you have issues with your barcode and are sure you have the correct number of digits, it is likely an issue with your barcode's check digit. A check digit is the last digit in your barcode that ensures its integrity.
To fix this, please use this Check Digit Calculator provided directly by GS1. Remove the last digit of your barcode, run it through this calculator, and include the newly generated check digit instead.
