Importing your products is a new alternative to manually creating your products on RangeMe. Suppliers can now import products to their RangeMe profile directly from their Shopify or Amazon store, and can import up to 20 products at a time! You will only be able to link one of each store to your RangeMe account.
Once you have created a supplier account and confirmed your email, you can being adding your products manually or import them from your Shopify or Amazon store.
Importing products is an easy 4-step process, with the first step being a one-time setup.
- Step 1 - Link your store
- Step 2 - Select products
- Step 3 - Add Common Product Details
- Step 4 - Review and save drafts or publish products
Note: If you have already linked your Shopify or Amazon account, you can begin importing immediately and should skip ahead to Step 2.
To begin importing your items, click the blue "Import Products" button on your brand page.
When you click the Import button, a pop-up will appear, asking you to select the platform from which you want to import your products. Select the platform you will be importing from and click continue.
Step 1 - Link your store
If this is your first time importing to RangeMe, you will be prompted to install/authorize the RangeMe App through your preferred platform. This will link your accounts together and enable the import of your products.
The Owner of the RangeMe account should be the one to go through this setup process.
SELECTING SHOPIFY
You will see a short summary of how to link your accounts together. Click the blue Continue button to be sent to the RangeMe App listing within the Shopify App Store.
Once you are in the Shopify App Store, click Install on the RangeMe App, and go through the required authentication steps to link your accounts.
If done successfully, you will be automatically redirected back to your RangeMe profile, where you can proceed to Step 2 below and begin importing your products using the information from your linked storefront.
SELECTING AMAZON
If this is your first time selecting Amazon, you will be prompted to authorize the RangeMe App via Amazon. This will link your accounts together and allow you to import your products.
Please note: We are only able to support Amazon Seller Central accounts at this time. Amazon Vendor accounts are currently not supported.
You will be asked to specify your Amazon Seller Central Marketplace. Select your region and click the blue Continue button to be sent to the RangeMe App listing within the Amazon platform.
When the next page loads, click Authorize Now on the right-hand side, and go through the required authentication steps to link your accounts.
If done successfully, you will be automatically redirected back to your RangeMe profile, where you can proceed to Step 2 below and begin importing your products using the information from your linked storefront.
Step 2 - Select your products
When importing products, a list of items from your connected store is shown. To import a product, check the box next to the item(s) you want to import and click Continue.
We recommend importing your products in batches, grouping similar items together. In the next step, you will insert general information that applies to all the selected products for this import.
Note: There is no limit on the number of imports you do, but you can only import 20 products at a time. Free suppliers will be limited to 3 products in total, and cannot import more once the limit is reached.
*If you are a free supplier and are interested in removing this product limit, we highly recommend checking out our Starter tier option at just $99 per year.
Step 3 - Add Common Product Details
Here, you’ll fill in some missing details required to publish your products on your RangeMe profile. Please note that the information you provide will be applied to all the items selected for this import.
You can enter the information now (recommended) or choose the "Answer later" option to manually add the details to each item after the import is complete. Once the import is complete, you can edit all product information at any time from your Brand Page.
After you have answered each question, click "Continue," and a loading screen will appear. Importing products can take a few seconds, so please allow the page to complete the import process. Once finished, it will automatically proceed to the next step.
Note: All questions need to have an answer specified to continue
Step 4 - Review and save drafts or publish products
In this final step, you’ll provide any remaining required information. Each product will be completed and reviewed individually at this stage.
On the left-hand side, you’ll see the list of products you imported. Click on a product and fill in the missing information. Each item will require you to fill in the missing information in box #1 (Add a category, USP’s, Product Description), then review the information in box #2.
If everything looks good, you can publish the item by clicking the blue 'Submit this Product' button and then continue down your list to the next product. Products that have been fully filled out and submitted for approval will display a green checkmark, while those still missing information will show an empty white circle.
Note: Once you reach this page, your products have officially been imported to your Brand Page. They will appear there as drafts, and you can choose to complete them directly from your Brand Page if preferred. You will not be able to return to this import page once you exit.
We recommend completing your items here so you’re ready to publish them immediately using the blue “Submit & Finish” button at the bottom.
Alternatively, you can click the white “Save & Finish” button to save your progress and manually complete any missing information later from your Brand Page.
If you experience trouble importing products at any point, here are some tips:
- Make sure the Owner of the RangeMe account is doing the set up
- A Shopify/Amazon account can only ever be linked to one account at a time
- A RangeMe account can only have 1 of each store (Shopify/Amazon) linked at a time
- You can only set up the link by going through the process listed above. Searching for the RangeMe app on your preferred storefront platform will not work.
If you are still having trouble, please be sure to interact with our support bot on the bottom-right of your page, and mention the phrase: Trouble importing my products
