RangeMe supports products and services across CPG retail and food service.
When you initially create product profiles on the platform, there are two types of questions asked:
- General RangeMe questions:
- These are generic and are asked as part of every product profile creation. The information gathered will be used for any other retailer or distributor you may connect with in the future.
- Bidfood specific questions: The answers and data from this section are specific to Bidfood and help the buying team understand more about your product offering.
As a result, when creating a product for the first time on the platform in order to submit to Bidfood, you may find some of the RangeMe questions are more retail-focused and do not apply specifically to your food service product. We recommend answering these to the best of your ability for any future submissions you might make, but the buying team is aware of the nuances.
Selecting Categories:
There are specific foodservice categories within the platform.
To add the appropriate Food Service Category to your product listing on RangeMe, go to the 'Product Overview' section while editing your product on RangeMe. Start typing the category your product falls into.
If you don't find the corresponding food or beverage service category, select "Don't See Your Product's Category? Select It Here.", navigate to the food service section and choose the category that best fits your product. Once added, the Bidfood Buyers subscribed to that product category will be able to view your profile. These categories will also be used for any other distributor submissions you may make in the future.
MSRP Question Guidance:
Each RangeMe product listing requires you to list an MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price) in the universal information.
If your product is solely for food service and does not have an MSRP, we recommend adding a nominal £1 figure in all fields.
Answers to this question will not be evaluated by our buying team, as we understand it is not relevant for our use.
