When a product is not approved for it's image, you will be notified by email, and your profile will point you to the product details section of the product that was rejected.
A product's image should always be of a singular product on a clean white background where the product is front facing so a buyer has a clear view of what they are looking at, and paints a clear image of your entire listing when paired with the product name and pricing. Remember, a buyer will primarily see these 3 fields first so making a first impression is incredibly important.
We have an entire article dedicated to images that you can find here: Why Product Images Are So Important (And How to Take a Good One)
Below is an example of a product image that would not be approved.
A product's image can be rejected for one or more of the following reasons:
- The product image has multiple products or variants in its image
- You want to have a product profile for each of your listings to provide buyers with details on each of your unique products
- The product is not in its retail packaging
- The image is an advertisement and has edited text around it
- The image is of just a label, and not the full product as it would appear on store shelves
- The image is of a screenshot, or a concept drawing and not the real product
- The image is sideways, blurry, too small, or has a watermark on it
In all cases, you will be required to change your product image before being able to resubmit for approval. Do be sure to check out the article above on why product images are important, and follow that guide to ensure you are showcasing your brand as best as can be!
